The Dark Waters album has been finalized and sent to CD Baby Disc Manufacturing for the first batch of CD’s to be printed. I usually only do a few for the first order to make sure everything looks exactly the way I want it to and to test drive a CD in my car. I thought I’d share the final graphics with you. I think the album art is awesome on this album and it captures the pseudo-psychedelic, dark nature of the album and the music.
First, we have the 4 panel insert outer image. On the left is the
back-side of the fold. On the right is what you will see when you look at the CD:
Once I had the graphic I wanted for the outside front cover, I duplicated it and reversed it to make something like a Rorschach image. I left off any text on the back side so that you can really see the complexity and detail in the image.
For the 4 panel insert inside graphics, I created a very interesting graphic from this image:
and came up with this:
I know it’s hard to imagine that this image came from the rippled water photo above, but it did. What can I say – I’m an artist all the way around
For the back of the album, I used the same rippled water photo and created this image with a few effects to make it look like you are seeing the water through some kind of glass.
I would like to thank Bob Webb and Bob Webb Images for the source photos for the album art. Bob has some amazing photography of Florida nature and wildlife and you should take the time to go check it out. Bob Webb Images got album art credit both on the back of the CD as well as the inside of the 4 panel insert.
The Dark Waters album will be released to all of the major online music retailers like iTunes, Amazon MP3, Rhapsody, eMusic, etc. over the next couple of weeks. It will be available at the JerryBoutotMusic.com Store for download soon. I’ll post a blog post which will also go out to my email list and thousands of Facebook fans as soon as it’s available.
Love and Prosperity to you ALL! Have an AWESOME Day!
