Get out and Vote 2014!

I normally don’t talk about who I voted for, and the reasons I voted for those people. I certainly don’t usually do it publicly, such as with this blog post. But I do have some fairly passionate and common sense beliefs in the whole process of voting and how our Founding Fathers set this up so that we have the power to remove an entire government in six voting cycles, with absolutely no weapons other than our right to vote.

OK so here’s how I voted, and the reasoning behind each vote:

  • Representative in Congress: Rich Nugent.
    • He’s a Republican, but not a Repubtard. Old school conservative, sane, and not one of those psycho religious panderers that prove education has nothing to do with intelligence.
  • Governor: Charlie Crist.
    • Why? He changed parties. If I were him, at any time during the last 12-16 years of “Repubtardness” I would have bailed on the Repubtard Party too. Face it, unless you’re a zombie like Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, you had to be intensely embarrassed by the party. Anyone who wasn’t embarrassed, isn’t a Republican any more than Jihadist Psychopaths are Muslims. They USE the title to confuse people, to make them question if they’re really so far off the party line that maybe cutting people’s heads off on camera is something… they… should… contemplate. So Charlie had the balls to say, “Hey, enough Repubtardiness, I’m jumping ship”. Besides, if I have to spend another 4 years watching that “bobble-head” Rick Scott bobble his stupid head around on camera like a walker on Valium, I may have to become a half-back and move to the Carolinas.
  • Attorney General: George Sheldon
    • Why? Well, because Pam Bondi came out swinging against Gay Marriage, revealing that she has ZERO INTEREST in the freedom and pursuit of happiness guaranteed to ALL people, who incidentally are CREATED EQUAL. So it wasn’t a vote for George Sheldon as much as it was a vote AGAINST Pam Bondi. Too bad, if she kept her trap shut about gay marriage after the battle was lost, she would have had my vote.
  • Chief Financial Officer: Will Rankin
    • Simply voted against the incumbent. We don’t want any more career politicians and the small-minded power it imbibes.
  • Commissioner of Agriculture: Thad Hamilton
    • Again, voted against the incumbent, and for the black guy. Simple.
  • State Representative District 35: Blaise Ingoglia
    • I like the guy, despite the fact that he’s a Republican and hasn’t bailed on the party like all the smart ones. He is very, very focused on economic development and bringing much-needed jobs to Hernando County.
  • County Commissioner District 2: Jimmy Lodato
    • Again, this vote was based on liking the candidate. I got to know him a little bit through some events with the Chamber of Commerce and this vote was, well, cast based on knowing the person.
  • County Commissioner District 4: Jeff Holcomb
    • Now you’re going to think this is silly, but I voted for him not because he’s a Republican, but because he’s a Software Consultant, just like me 🙂
  • Fifth District Court of Appeal Judges
    • I just voted YES they should stay in office. I have no idea if any of them don’t deserve to stay in office, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
  • Circuit Judge, 5th Judicial Circuit Group 3:  Denise A. Dymond Lyn
    • I had no idea who to vote for. I don’t know the candidates, and didn’t know who was the incumbent, etc., so I just voted for Denise because I thought her last name was very cool (I know, how foolish – but I’m sure I’m not the only one in a voting booth faced with a choice of candidates I don’t know – I had to pick someone!
  • School Board Member District 1: Donald Whiting
    • Donald got my vote because I wouldn’t vote for Mark Johnson if I were on fire and my vote would dump a truckload of water on me. The guy walked up to my wife at a Chamber of Commerce event, handed her a small bumper sticker that said “Vote for Mark Johnson” and actually said to her, and I quote: “You want a little Johnson? I got a big Johnson too, if you prefer a big one”. Now, I’m not a scholar or a lawyer or anything like that, but what he said to her, I’m sure he said to many other women along the campaign trail, and although it is kinda clever it’s still Sexual Harassment. Mark, next time you see me at a Chamber of Commerce event, come talk to me.
  • School Board Member District 5: Robert Neuhausen
    • Once again, this boiled down to knowing the candidate. I don’t know who the other person is, so I voted for who I know.
  • Constitutional Amendment Article X, Section 28, Water and Land Conservation – Dedicates funds to acquire and restore Florida conservation and recreation lands.
    • YES – this is a good amendment.
  • Constitutional Amendment Article X, Section 29: Use of Marijuana for Certain Medical Conditions
    • YES – this is one step closer to killing the practice of ruining young lives over something the Government should MYOB about. It’s also one step closer to adding a bong to our weekly Wine and Cheese parties LOL.
  • Constitutional Amendment Article V, Sections 10, 11: Prospective Appointment of Certain Judicial Vacancies
    • YES – although in retrospect I realized (after I voted) that this opens the door for Government Covert Black Ops Assassinations of judges and allows the Governor to assign anyone basically to take the vacancy, all conspiracies aside I felt the need to not leave Judicial Vacancies open for long periods of time was important.
  • County Referendum Optional One-Cent Sales Surtax Referendum
    • YES – Come on, it’s only $1.00 on every $100 you spend. Sales Tax is the BEST tax because YOU can control it. Don’t want to pay? Don’t spend your money. You get a double benefit: you get to lower your taxes while increasing your Net Worth.

Alright, so as much as I like to rant and rave about Politics and how stupid most people are when it comes to elections, I’m not so into it that I study the candidates in low level positions – or even care about them. Not unless they sexually harass my wife. Those I pay attention to enough to vote for the other guy.

But the point is, VOTE!!!! VOTE 2014!!!! Vote EVERY TIME!!!! It’s your right, and trust me when I tell you: If those crooks in Washington DC even start to think that people don’t really want their right to vote, they’ll take it away. Don’t let that happen.

Love and Prosperity to you ALL! Have an AWESOME Day!
